The truth hurts

I have to share a story about a conversation Reece and I had on Monday. Mondays mornings are good for me because he goes to pre-school from 9 until noon. I used to use that time to work or run errands or clean the house. Since Morgan has been born I have been finding myself using that time to ummmm, sleep. I have had some guilt for this because I know that there are a million things that I should be doing during those three hours, but the guilt goes away when I remember that the days that Morgan sleeps all morning will go away soon. Every time I think to myself that I will not nap but when we get back from dropping off Reece and she is asleep I just dive for the couch. I can't help it.

Anyway, so on Monday I did just that and then went and got Reece at noon. When we got in the car here is what he said to me. "Mom, are you going to take a shower when we get home????" He was serious. I spent the rest of the day trying to decide which was worse.....the fact that he asked me that or the fact that I had ALREADY TAKEN ONE that day. I said back to him "Reece, I already took a shower today." He just looked at me and said "Oh." Needless to say the truth hurts. I guess I have been looking a little rough these days. I am thinking that Reece is getting a little tired of my grey fleece that I seem to throw on every time I leave the house. I'm thinking at this rate I may end up on What Not to Wear. Oh how I love that show.

Speaking of shows, I just have to talk about American Idol. I have watched every season and am always a fan, but this time I am really loving it. I love when they narrow it down. Last night was so good. There is a finalist that is from our town so of course we will be cheering for him. I also have to say that I love "Norman Gentle." I can't help but burst out into laughter every time they show him. He is so stinking funny!!!!!! I was happy they kept him because I want to see him more. I'm excited for the rest of the season. I think it will be a good one.

Other than that things are going good here. I can't believe that Morgan is three weeks old today. She is a really good baby and seems to get cuter every day. We are thinking that she looks just like Ethan. The boys can't get enough of her some days. As you can see, she doesn't always love them holding her. Ha!
